The Stiebel Eltron DHC 8-2 electric tankless water heater is designed to be placed near a sink for instantaneous hot water at the point of use. Advantages include endless hot water, reduced electricity costs and substantial space savings. The 7.2 kw DHC 8-2 provides a 50 degree temperature rise at a 1 GPM flow rate and a 60 degree temperature rise at .75 GPM flow rate. The DHC series are not designed for showers. The DHC 8-2 runs on 208-240 volts AC and has a current draw of 30 amps (depending on voltage applied). The unit requires a minimum of a 100 amp panel and requires 1 x 40 amp breaker.
