They are designed with a wide pot with a flat bottom, a wide opening, handles on the side and handles on top. Traditionally speaking the stock pot has been used to make stock or broth and very few soups or sauces do not start off with a stockpot. The EuroWare stockpot heats fasts and simmers long and evenly. The stainless steel construction make it lighter and versatile while its height prevents more than average water dissipation from the stock. The domed glass lid has a built in vent to let the steam out and prevent it from bubbling over. The EuroWare Stock pot can hold up to 16 quarts of water which is roughly 64 cups.
